$50 a month is the planned price for a provided VPS, Hermes installation, Plus dashboard controls and 10 monthly AI credits. You get root access and administer the server. SmarterBrain holds and pays the hosting account.
You do not purchase the VPS separately or run the initial installation command.
When Hosted ends: the machine is kept for retrieval only for at most seven days after paid coverage ends, then deleted. It is not transferred to you. Keep independent backups.

Prepay for model usage.
One credit represents one US dollar of model usage at the provider’s list price. Included credits reset monthly and do not roll over. Purchased credits remain available while your account is open, including after cancelling Plus.
The capped key works in Hermes or another compatible application. Buying credits does not change your dashboard plan.
Plan questions
What happens if I cancel Plus?
Plus features end after the paid period. You can continue on Free or disconnect the dashboard. The local uninstaller keeps Hermes and its data on your own VPS. Your hosting account and purchased AI credits remain separate.
Are backups included?
No. Choose a backup tool, keep a copy outside the server and test recovery. Read the backup guide.
Can Hermes use my email account?
Yes, with an email connection you configure and permission to perform the relevant tasks. The dashboard plan does not include a mailbox.
